Ending & Beginning

It is hard to believe that is already the start of a new year!  So, I wanted to get this post done on New Year's Day but other things such as life got in the way.  I love New Year's because I always fell like I get to have a fresh start... time to make some changes and refocus my life on what is important to me.  2010 was a hard year for me, one full of struggles and hardships however, I am grateful that I experienced those things because they only make me stronger. It was also a year of growth and healing which I am very grateful.  I am looking forward to wonderful things happening this year.

My goals for 2011 are:

1) Continue to grow stronger in my walk with the Lord. Walk by faith and strive to be obedient to God's will. As part of that I want to read the entire Bible in a year.

2) Stick to an exercise plan to help me get in better shape physically.  And before any of you so know me and know what I look like freak out, I don't mean lose weight or anything like that.  I would like to be more tone and to be able to run 10 feet without passing out. :)  I have heard that Yoga does wonderful things for your body, helps relieve stress, and can be good for boosting your fertility (which is another goal for 2011 but I will get to that later).  So, I have ordered Yoga 4 Fertility DVD which helps strengthen your body, boost fertility, and calm your body from stress.  Basically, killing two birds with one stone and I am so excited to get started.

3) TWO PINK LINES IN 2011!!!  I would love to experience Christmas 2011 has a family of 4 instead of 3. (Daniel, Nina, Browning, & "Baby W") We are starting the earlier stages of fertility testing. We are taking it one step at a time while seeking God's guidance for this process.  I definitely don't want to jump ahead of God.  As I have said before... I don't just want children, I want them God's way.  However, I am ready for answers to why it has been almost two years of trying and no pregnancy. I pray God will prepare my heart for the information we are given and that I accept what He has for me during this process.  We are VERY ready to be parents but I am no way near ready to start fertility treatments.  My prayer is that God blesses us with a baby naturally. I am trying so hard not to lose hope but through prayer and faith I know God with give me strength.

4) Pay off twice as much debt as we did in 2010 if not pay it all off.  The grand total of debt we paid off in 2010 is $11, 400 leaving us with $47,000 to go. YAY!  We paid down that much debt in only 7 or 8 months because we didn't actually start paying down debt until April or May.  We are very excited about getting that much closer to being DEBT FREE.  We know that all the sacrifices that we are making now will be worth it when we are finally DEBT FREE and have NO PAYMENTS!!

Here's to a great year!

Happy New Year Everyone!

  1. Hi - I found your blog through Daniel & Lyndsie's. Good luck to you & your husband as you begin the fertility testing...we're on year #3 of TTC and have been through a ton of tests and procedures. We are also hoping that 2011 will be the year that we are blessed with a baby! Yoga is great - definitely helps you to relax and focus your energy.
