7 months

This past week, Jameson turned 7 Months old. Time is flying by way too fast!! 

Jameson now attacks the monkey that we do monthly picture with. I kept taking it away from him but he insisted on chewing and playing with the Monkey! Below are a few pictures of his attacks :)

Jameson has changed a lot over the past month. I think he is beginning to look a little more like me now but still looks mostly like Daniel.  This month we have been focusing on meeting more milestones...

J has figured out how to scoot around in the his walker now.  The walker is the one thing that will keep his attention for more than about 15 - 20 minutes at a time.  I think he is going to walk before he does anything else.  This boy loves to stand up! 

Also, we are working on sitting up unsupported.  He will balance alone for about 30 seconds then falls over.  He has a habit of becoming a "rod" and won't bend when I try to make him sit down.  Like I said before he loves to stand up.

We have also been trying to get in more tummy time even though it is his absolute least favorite thing to do.  In just the past few weeks, he has began to pull his knees up under him so hopefully it won't be long before he starts crawling. 

At 7 months he is also:

• Eating more baby food.  J is now eating at least 8 ounces of food daily.  I added fruits to his diet this month... Bananas, Pears, and Apples.  He likes them all.  He has started to refuse squash but I think that is a texture issue and not really about taste.
• Weighs almost 15 pounds.  At his last doctors appointment he weight 14 pounds 5 ounces so I'm thinking by now he should be about 15 pounds.
• Has mastered Baby talk.  He jabbered all the time now and especially when he's tired.  He has started making the Da sound so Daniel is excited thinking he is saying Dada.  So not fair!!! He will say Hey sometimes when we say it to him first. 
• We are still working on Baby Sign Language.  He has yet to sign anything back but he is very attentive when I am signing to him.  He may say Dada first but he will sign Mama first! We are working on signing Mama, Daddy, Milk, Dog, Eat and Water.
• He is still in 3-6 months clothing and size 1 shoes.

Daniel and I left Jameson with the grandparents for the first time on the over the weekend while we had a much needed date night.  I was so nervous about leaving him but we both did just fine!  The hardest part was dropping him off.  The tears flowed as I walked back to the car.  Gigi and GDaddy said Jameson did good for them and didn't cry. It's good to know that he will stay with other people not that I want to make a habit of doing that all the time. However, it was so nice to get though an entire meal without hearing crying or having to get up and tend to the baby. I kept telling Daniel during dinner that I felt like I should be feeding someone.  We didn't do anything extravagant on our date... just a little shopping at the mall for Daniel's Easter outfit, ate dinner at Inoko's, and went to The Fresh Market for food for J. After 5 hours of being away from Jameson, I couldn't wait to see him!  When we arrived back at Daniel's parents house to pick J up, he was sleeping! So sweet.
